Providing a clear agenda at the start of each session helps maintain focus and ensures that key issues are addressed. Encouraging the use of practical organisational tools, such as planners and reminders, can help clients manage their daily responsibilities more effectively.

Time management techniques, such as breaking tasks into smaller steps and using timers, can be particularly beneficial in addressing procrastination and improving productivity. Counsellors should also offer guidance on emotional regulation strategies, including stress management techniques and self-compassion exercises. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and occupational therapists, can further enhance the support available to clients.

By implementing these strategies, counsellors can provide more effective guidance to individuals with ADHD, helping them to navigate their challenges and lead more fulfilling lives.
